If you walk further down, you will reach Syntagma Square, the most famous square of the city. There, you will take some time to watch the valiant Evzones in front of the building of the Greek Parliament.

Having left Syntagma Square behind you, you will stroll through the lush green oasis of the National Gardens. While this will be an ideal place to relax away from the city noise, your refreshing walk will lead you to the extraordinary Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place.

If you continue for a little while, you will reach the impressive neoclassical building of Zappeion Hall before being amazed by the size of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrian Arch. Your walk will come to an end in front of the Lycicrates monument in Plaka, at a very close distance to the Acropolis Metro Station.
